Stipend During Apprenticeship

Educational Qualification
- Minimum Academic: Class 10 (Matriculation / High School) with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board
- ITI Certificate: National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade from a recognized ITI — must match the trade applied for
- Both qualifications are mandatory — candidates without ITI in the relevant trade are NOT eligible
- Candidates appearing in Class 10 exams are not eligible — certificate must be in hand

Selection Process
- Merit-Based Selection: No written exam — candidates shortlisted purely on Class 10 percentage and ITI marks combined merit list
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates report to SECR office with original Class 10 marksheet, ITI certificate, caste certificate, and age proof
- Medical Fitness Test: Basic medical fitness as per Railway Apprentice norms
- Apprenticeship Commencement: Selected candidates begin apprenticeship training at designated SECR workshops/divisions
